El presente cartel trata sobre guantes de protección frente a medicamentos citostáticos.
Su objetivo principal es ayudar al personal sanitario en la elección del guante de protección más adecuado para el manejo y la administración de medicamentos quimioterápicos. A través de una tabla, se muestran las principales diferencias del ensayo de resistencia a la permeación frente a productos químicos en general y agentes citostáticos entre la norma europea EN 16523-1 y la norma americana ASTM D6978-05 respectivamente. Se concluye que la norma americana es mucho más exigente que la norma europea.
Abstract

This poster contains information on gloves against cytostatic products.
Its main objective is to assist healthcare workers in choosing the most appropriate protective glove for the handling and administration of chemotherapy drugs. The table shows the main differences in test of resistance of permeation by chemical products y general and by cytostatic agents between the European standard EN 16523-1 and the American standard ASTM D6978-05 respectively. It is concluded that the American standard is much stricter than the European standard.
